The Projektträger Jülich is a German research agency within the Forschungszentrum Jülich which undertakes the management of R&D and innovation programmes on behalf of various contractors representing the national government: mainly the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and the Federal Ministry for Environment (BMU). It also hosts several national contact points (NCPs) for the 7th Research Framework Programme of the EU, among others for Topic 4 “Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and New Production Technologies” (NMP). Within the German High-Tech-Strategy, PtJ´s Division for New Materials and Chemical Technologies (NMT) is responsible for a framework programme in materials and nanotechnology, the so-called “Materials Innovations for Industry and Society” or “WING” Programme.
